Thanks for the reply, Neil, but I don't think that this is the case.   If I
switch the polling interval to 1 minute, the graph looks correct (it goes up
to the 320 mbps that I expect).  I still have not found the answer to this
question.  We have looked at the router, and when we run a "sh counters
interface gigabitEthernet 8/1" we are seeing the 64bit counters
incrementing.  I just don't know why we cannot seem to gather that
information.  I have also tried (as seen in the docs) changing my target to:

Target[gig8_1_1]: 53:rxHCOctets.xxxxx at 12.23.34.45:::::2

Also, looking at Cisco's website, we have tried:

Target[gig8_1_1]: 53:1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.201.1.1.1.1.4:xxxxx at 12.23.34.45:::::2

Getting the following as a response for both of the above:
