[mrtg] mrtg for monitoring windows 2000 in workgroups

Hi !

We have some servers we want to monitor.

These servers are all installed with windows 2000 and some are seperated
with firewalls.

We use workgroups so every windows system has it's own user database.

Now we want to monitor some performance and statistics from the servers.

We can monitor the network interfaces using the snmp identifiers.

However I cant find the identifiers for the various windows items I want
to monitor.

So I found a perl script which can be used with the windows performance
monitor and get's the values out of a CSV file.

This gives a problem, because the performance meter saves the CSV file
on it's local drive. I can reach the drive when I am logged in. But I
guess the perl script can't handle unc path's (like \\server\share
<file:///\\server\share> ) and authentication is necessary (because of
using workgroups) so I have to use a drive mapping. This drive mapping
can be created with some sort of batch file.

Now I think this is an un practical situation.

So my question : Are all items shown in windows performance meter
available through a snmp identifier or should this always be done with
this perl script.

Maybe you guys have some kind of work arround or solution for this
problem ?

Thanks in advance

Regards,
