Gil-
I cannot advise you directly about the ESR-6000; however the following
describes our experience with the ASX-200bx, TNX-210,
and ASX-4000 ATM switches from Marconi:

================================================

Here is some of what you need to know on the Marconi side:

	(XXXX is an ASX-200bx ATM switch)
	You need to be aware that the OID changes based on the version of
Marconi's FT software you are using...
	OIDs (for FT 7.1):
			.1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.2.1.4.1.1.8.port.path.circuit
- # of cells
			.1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.2.1.4.4.1.5.port.path.circuit
- # of cells
	Multiply # of cells by 48 to get bytes [53 byte cells - header]

Target[XXXX]: .1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.2.1.4.1.1.8.0.0.114 &
	.1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.2.1.4.4.1.5.0.0.114:community at XXXX::::2*48

	Depending on how your VC is built, numbering may also change any
time it is re-created...

I have also found it necessary to fiddle with the code to get cfgmaker to
work correctly for me on these devices. I can share the mods if you are
interested.

Subject: [mrtg] Trying to measure ATM traffic on Marconi ESR-6000

I'm trying to use MRTG to measure ATM traffic on Marconi equipment. Can
anyone give me some pointers as to where I might find suggestions as to how
to accomplish this?

Using the "standard" config, nothing gets measured on these ports; probably
because the traffic is not comprised of Ethernet packets.

Searched the web and so far turned up nothing I could understand or use.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks in advance...

Gil
