I vaguely recall a discussion of that a few years ago on this mail-list.
The Bay Stack doesn't support the ifXmib.

If you walk the enterprises tree, you might find an OID that has the
information.  from that point it's not hard to craft either a template
or a patch to cfgmaker to grab that value instead of ifDescr or ifXName
