[mrtg] Using MRTG ping-probe with MRTG

Hello,
I'm trying to use MRTG Ping-Probe with MRTG.  I have no idea how to get started.  I already have MRTG monitoring network traffic for 2000 devices.  Just don't know how to incorporate Ping-Probe.  I've read the documentation and still can't figure it out.  Any help would be appreciated.
