[rrd-users] Error in "make install"

Hi,
I am trying to install rrd on a linux 7.0 machine. When I run "make install" it gives me the following eror after few seconds of processing. I saw this problem posted many times, but no body has  posted a solution for this. Any idea?

make[2]: *** [install-data-local] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/cricket/cpan/rrdtool-1.0.44'
make[1]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/cricket/cpan/rrdtool-1.0.44'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
