[rrd-users] problem

Hi ppl,

This question is asked probaby already 100's of times, but i can't
find an answer..

I created an RRA
rrdtool create test.rrd -s 5 \
DS:getal:GAUGE:60:U:U \
RRA:LAST:0.5:1:50 \
RRA:LAST:0.5:2:20

after that i randomly input some data..
979
515
986
648
250
416
231
944
922
864

It's not added exactly 5 secs after each other (some took longer, some
shorter).. when i fetch it, i get back the values
1062601115: 9.7900000000e+02
1062601120: 9.7900000000e+02
1062601125: 9.7900000000e+02
1062601130: 6.0780000000e+02
1062601135: 9.8600000000e+02
1062601140: 9.8600000000e+02
1062601145: 4.0920000000e+02
1062601150: 4.0920000000e+02
1062601155: 2.8320000000e+02
1062601160: 2.4950000000e+02
1062601165: 2.4950000000e+02
1062601170: 8.5730000000e+02
1062601175: 8.5730000000e+02

can someone point me to some documentation what kind of calculation
happends with the values?
