[rrd-users] PRINT/GPRINT: calculated averages depend on "--width"

Hi,

when I calculate averages with GRPINT or PRINT, the result depends on how I
set the width of the graph by "rrdtool graph .... --width". This is very
strange to me. That only seems to happen in case I set the start time before
the database creation time.

Background: I would like to calculate a month-average of my data. Therefore I
want to always set "--start -2678400 PRINT:A:AVERAGE:ave=%.1lf". My databae
does not consolidate data, because I have only one RRA:

--step 900
DS:A:GAUGE:3600:0:100
RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:1:38400

Any reason for that ?

Cheers
Ralf
