Many thanks for your post Henrik!

Gosh the C api is a closely guarded secret it seems. Why is that? I am
interfacing to phidgets (www.phidgets.com) so need to write a program in c
to receive data from these phidgets and update into RRDTool.

So, a header file does not make an API. What other files do I need? Do i
just need the files in your rrd folder? So with those and do_rrd.c I can do
what I want???

Many thanks
Mark
