[rrd-users] Dependency build errors on Solaris 10

I am attempting to build RRDtool on Solaris 10 SPARC and am having problems
building one particular dependency: pangocairo.

I have successfully built and installed:
freetype 2.3.5
pixman 0.12.0
cairo 1.8.4
glib 2.14

When I try to build pango, ./configure works fine but I get the following
error when I try to gmake it:

ld: fatal: recording name conflict: file
`/usr/local/spkg/UHapache-2.2.9-r3-sol10-t2k/lib/libfreetype.so' and file
`/usr/sfw/lib/libfreetype.so' provide identical dependency names:
libfreetype.so.6  (possible multiple inclusion of the same file)
ld: fatal: recording name conflict: file
`/var/home/karsin/rrdinstall/cairo/lib/libfontconfig.so' and file
`/usr/lib/libfontconfig.so' provide identical dependency names:
libfontconfig.so.1  (possible multiple inclusion of the same file)
ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written to .libs/cairosimple

I have tried renaming /var/home/karsin/rrdinstall/cairo/lib/libfontconfig.so
to libfontconfig.so.orig but get a file not found error.

Any ideas on a possible solution would be greatly appreciated.
